Sustainable Cities Lab for Saudi Women Architects and Planners
The Sustainable Cities Lab is an interactive forum to discuss current city debates including Sustainable Development and UN Urban Agenda, Resilience and Wellbeing and how to promote innovative and responsive cities while reflecting on local values and potentials. We will explore how to implement these visions through collaboration and to strengthen community involvement with a bigger role given to women and youth in city management. Through its new methods combining different contributions, panels and workshops, the Lab offers a great occasion to reflect on development in Saudi Cities while looking at UK and international practices and UN strategies. It will be a new thinking forum to reflect upon effective methods for implementing the Kingdom's 2030 Vision.
The Sustainable Cities Lab provides forum for a leading group of 18-20 Saudi Women Architects and Planners and professionals working with city issues from practice, universities and policy-making to meet with UK colleagues and exchange where outcomes can benefit both countries. It aims at building a strong network of professional Saudi women. This Sustainable Cities Lab will be the first Think Tank of its art.
