Dr. Roudaina chairing a panel at Makkah Region Economic Forum, 24-26 March

Dr. Roudaina was happy to be generously invited on the 24th March – 26th March by Makkah Region/KSA to chair a panel in Makkah Region Economic Forum on strengthening connectivity, hard infrastructure and smart logistics to support economic growth and regional development.

The panel, also looked at investment opportunities, smart management and moderating conflicting interests between different types of flows, growth aims and urban and regional sustainability.

The panel hosted Miss Farah Ismail, Advisor to the Minister, Ministry of Housing; King Abdullah Port CEO Rayan Qutub; CEO of Agility KSA Eng. Abdullah Al-Ahmed; and transportation Expert Zaina Nazer.

The panel highlighted the impact that the National Industrial Development and Logistics Program has on the Makkah Region and the emerging investment opportunities in this area, the significant role of King Abdullah Port and ended up with valuable recommendations, including the importance of strengthening smart service chains and infrastructure connecting the industrial areas, new free zones, smart warehousing facilities, airports and ports. It also recommended the establishment of a governmental platform to enable the implementation of the holistic Saudi Industrial and Logistics strategy in the framework of KSA Vision 2030 and facilitate public and private sector collaborations. The high-level forum gathered decision makers, investors, city authorities, consultants and academics.
