Call for Proposals, 2016
Client: Arab Urban Development Institute, commissioned by UN-Habitat, Ministry of Urban and Rural Affairs, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
The goal of this offer, which we had the pleasure to work on with the University of Westminster and Professor Patrick Wakely, DPU UCL was to support KSA in building a knowledge base on the state of its cities with regards to sustainable development and prosperity, particularly in the context of the country growth and the Kingdom 2030 Vision. The bid also discussed how we would approach establishing the urban and national observatories to be the background for planning reforms in the Kingdom. The work also includes our proposal for capacity building of Saudi cities, Prosperity Research Reports for selected cities, including Riyadh and other cities and awareness building regarding the need to work for sustainable urbanisation and sustainable planning approaches.
We were happy that our Proposal was positively met and approved by the UN-Habitat office at Riyadh.
