Holbaek Kommune Plan 2013 – 2025, Denmark

Roudaina Alkhani took part in this strategic project whilst working as a Senior Level Planner and Project Manager at Holbaek Kommune in 2013.

Holbæk Kommune is a Danish local authority that includes several cities, villages, as well as rural and natural areas, with forests and coastal regions, on the island of Zealand. In the wake of regional and municipal restructuring, the Kommune Plan was developed to guide the growth and development of Holbæk Kommune for the period from 2013 to 2025. The goal was to create cohesive community and lands that function better as a whole, reinforcing synergies among its various parts. To achieve this, a forward-looking strategy and a strong Development Structure were essential to enhance potential, foster growth, and address emerging challenges. Roudaina played a key role in ensuring the quality of the Development Structure within the Kommune Plan for 2013-2025 . This involved emphasising the importance of synergy among sector development goals and fostering active partnerships throughout the planning process. She edited this part of the plan and provided feedback on the Holbaek City Plan.
